Navratna Dhal Mini Bonda Recipe:
Today marks one year anniversary of KitchenKathukutty Group and this Navratna Dhal Mini Bonda Recipe was our evening snack yesterday. I could not find time to post the recipe as soon as I tried. You will find navratna dhal in every grocery shop here. You can choose to mix nine different lentils too for this recipe.
Navratna Dhal Mini Bonda Recipe:
You can make it as a non-deep fried version following this recipe
Ingredients:
Makes 15-20
- Navratna Dhal-1/2 cup
- Raw rice-Handful
- Onion-1
- Green chilly-1
- Ginger-small piece
- Salt_to taste
- Oil-To deep fry
Procedure:
1. Soak rice and dhal together overnight after washing and rinsing well.
2. Drain water completely and grind into a coarse paste.
3. Add chopped onion, green chilly and ginger, salt and mix well.
4.Make small balls and deep fry them in oil.
5. Drain the excess oil and serve them.
P.S:
There should be no water before grinding.
I ground them in pulse mode for 5 times exactly.
You can add a spoon of sooji for extra crispness while grinding.
If you are unable to hold them as small balls add some rice flour for binding.
This is a portion of excellent finger food for babies below one year.
Skip salt and chilly for babies below one year.
